Come together

At opening the debut event had guests waiting at the doors. A bespoke built booth was the main focal point to the event however the eye was constantly drawn from unique decor and installations around the venue.

The ethos of the event was to just come together; age, job or life wouldn't matter -come together. The summer had been more than full of festivals, events, and other creatives work. it was about time that everyone needed the opportunity to sit back and cut loose, while someone else managed the event. The Loft, down the ever prominent Albert Road in Southsea, is a brilliant 100 person venue for close-quarter localised events and was the first choice for come together. Making use of the venues already somewhat derelict decor, the theme was set for a high production squat. Some sections of the venue had taken on inspiration from each festival worked at during the year.

There are events you can attend that try to achieve the energy that is created when similar minds, not lives come together, at an event is hosted by Jony Smoke. The demographic was incredibly varied, attendees welcoming each other from separate generations of guests from the Portsmouth party scene. Some obviously poking at the new guy on the block and others hearing of the storm created throughout the summer wanted to see what the fuss was all about.

Making an impact sustainable is much easier on the smaller scale, there was absolutely no printing evolved with promotion or event materials, not a wrist band insight. Also, offering all guest single-use cups though the evening - they could take home and use at any event.
