Rebuild was an event with maybe ambition set out of this spacetime. Space ship had crashed nearby and the parts had been used to create a discord post-apocalypse style event. With one circuit boards and "broken" parts strewn around The Loft Southsea. Although some of the interactive decor didn't make it to the venue, the footfall and energy were no doubt the biggest yet. Guest attending from as far as Manchester on a promise that it wasn't something to miss. A venue, street, and after-party had been jammed packed full of like minded ravers.

A set of competitions has been run to encourage ticket sales, and the initial interest of the event launch - this couldn't have gone better. The winners of the two free tickets fully immersed themselves and interacted with other guests, driven by the excitement and vibe already created. The positivity and group mentality of the evening was outstanding, it truly felt like a tribe, of decade long connections even though some had walked in completely randomly.

Opening the event was tight, being polite. Everyone involved especially the drivers for the event, did an amazing job of fighting traffic and sticking to a militant schedule in place while Jony journeyed across the UK rail system back to Portsmouth from north London. Arriving on location with 90 minutes to open, There was an awesome crew that had got all the decor and event tech to the venue ready to be installed. Working professionally in a sometimes sporadic environment is key, the team behind rebuild really shone through the local scene as event professionals.
At doors we already had a dancefloor of guests waiting to energise, Rambo, warm the venue and crowd up like no one expected - during his set the event grew into a magnificent display of outfits, people and dance moves. Gizmo carried on the high energy seamlessly, taking the event to an unstoppable level ready for Beauty and The Beat to get down and dirty with her venue shaking genre-fluid set. Throughout the evening, guests had a lot to say especially about the visuals behind the DJs. Creating a psychedelic and mind-melting experience. Reinforcing the DJ's musical intentions; Stefano provided excellent work during the evening with bespoke visuals and an archive of previous renderings.

Usually There is a low key after party accociated with this kind of event. After breaking down the event ready for load, the few involved made their way to the after party hosted by James, Pete and Ryvene. Upon getting closer the location, a night club en route was seemed to get louder again. No, the entire event barr 10% had been invited to the after-party. In all the events energy finished around lunchtime the following day... public thank you to those hosts.
Rebuild set the tone for future events in Portsmouth and in fact the south, A landmark event for Jony Smoke as an event host and organiser.
